Ive been Walking the halls with Jenna in the wagon, waiting on our next feed and I noticed a lot of babies and kiddos in their rooms alone or in the play room with child life volunteers, but no mommas or dadas....our little neighborhood buddy is 18m old, in a wheelchair with leg braces and the most darling little glasses, hes been here on and off his whole life and I have not seen one parent or visitor since Ive been here...The nurses say oh thats so common with recurrent surgeries or lifelong handicaps and diseases. We become the parents. Oh my heart. How sad!! No wonder they think Im over cautious!!! I didnt even like showering last night without someone in here with Jenna lol!!! So as much as I have complained about this hospital, the staff truly love their patients. #Babiesneedtheirmomma!
