Ive been a long-time fan (since the 80s at least) of ending sanctions against Cuba. Granted they nationalized a sheetload of businesses without compensation, over 50 years ago. But so did China, which has had MFN for decades. And granted they continue to have drastically stupid govt policy. But so much can also be said at times for the US or Japan. Im impressed at their effort here. Just as US aid, it probably has something of a propaganda and political angle, but in some of these countries a few hundred doctors would DOUBLE the number of doctors available. Just as ISIS weirdly has brought the US and Iran a bit closer together, I wonder if Ebola can encourage some teamwork between the US and Cuba?
