Ive been putting off sharing this mainly out of vanity as I was - TopicsExpress

Ive been putting off sharing this mainly out of vanity as I was 15kg heavier, was asked to do this 5 mins before it was filmed so no makeup and my voice makes me want to punch myself in the throat but Im putting my snappy talking down to the 2 degree temp it was in the sensory garden AND it has one of my biggest vulnerabilities my boy. You never start out thinking youll have a child with special needs those sorts of things happen to other families but as time moves on and Sonnys autism is more pronounced Ive had to really comes to terms with his diagnosis and what it means for us as a family and our future. I think my biggest fear is people rejecting my son, seeing his funny movements and hearing his weird noises and not seeing what an absolute champion my wee boy is. AEIOU have been instrumental in helping Sonny do things I thought were impossible for him and helping him reach milestones that I took for granted with the girls (like pooing on the toilet), the staff are all dedicated professionals who are always available for our family not just for school issues but any behaviours we are experiencing at home as well. So Im sharing this video because I do feel passionate about early intervention and the work that AEIOU do it has also brought me into contact with some amazingly strong, capable and kind women Selina McSharratt, Joline Stroh, Angela Kim Sullivan, Kris Payne, Holly Trousdell, Emily Baitch, to name just a few, who are also mum to their own wee champions. If anyone sees this and has a question about AEIOU or Autism please message me Ill be happy to answer. P.S. For those who dont know Sonny hes the incredibly cute and stylish kid in the red sweatshirt with a plaid crocodile on it. And Im smoking hot just ask George Camargo
