Ive been reading a book on grief and found it profound that today the passage was perfect for the day we and so many have had, pray it helps sorry it lengthy as I am lol bear with me it has great meaning on days like today! A Father sobbed as he told of the accident scene where he saw his daughters lifeless body lying twisted on the pavement. His voice shook with emotion over the shocking insanity of death. His wife has taken their three children to the pool for an afternoon for fun. After their swim they were crossing the road and suddenly their three year old daughter dropped her mothers had and darted in the street. A speeding SUV struck and killed her. Their lives would never be the same.... ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ another story and YES this ALL will make sense in the end....I looked at my mother in her hospital bed, her body ravaged by age and disease. She had been so vibrant so strong so alive. Now her frail body lay in a tangle of tubes. The loom of life support machines drowned out her weak breaths. Helplessly we watched death take her. Defying all the technology that was tied to keep her alive. We held her lifeless hand and pushed the hair off her forehead. We kissed her cheek, straightened her sheet as if she were alive. We simply didnt know how else to act. We had so much unfinished business with her. But we would have no more conversations. No more phone calls. No more visits, NO more anything. We were left with a warehouse of found and painful memories and a collection of faded photographs. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The Bible isnt arranged by topic. We cant go to the section on GRIEF and collect what we need for lifes darkest moments. Yet GODS GREAT story of redemption has much to say about your story of grief. The BIBLE and GOD can HELP U deal with your grief. I hope this will help you see how your story of loss/storms/sadness fits in the larger story of GODS plan to fix everything that sin has so cruelly broken in your life. It may not be death but the BIBLE can help you through your STORMS of life that Bill Patterson so eloquently spoke on last evening. JUST ALWAYS BE READY FOR WHEN HE CALLS, HE CALLS, SOMETIME NO WARNING, HE JUST WANTS YOU AND TAKES YOU ON TO A BETTER PLACE IF U R RIGHT WITH HIM.. IF you are NOT right with him, YOUR soul is bound for HELL the BIBLE tells us so, I hope you are RIGHT!!!!!
