Ive been seeing and saying these things for years but most people just thought it was crazy - so its good that others are starting to say it too - because given the evidence it is most likely true even if at first it seems crazy. It is a simple ramification of the nature of reality and the nature of consciousness. It is a meta-system-transition, whereby sub-systems integrate to form super-systems (not only of outer form but also of inner consciousness). In a dualist or materialist-monist paradigm this is impossible because it is believed that systems have only outer form and no inner consciousness, however those paradigms are full of inconsistencies and contradictions. In a panpsychist-monist paradigm emergent levels of both outer form and inner consciousness are essential - it is how we emerged from cells and it is how organisational levels of consciousness are emerging out of our interactions and taking on lives of their own and pursuing agendas of their own. Many of these organisational-level agendas run counter to our own agendas, hence we lose control of society and it starts to control us. This has been steadily building in momentum for tens of thousands of years, beginning with the advent of language, custom, etc. In this age of mass media, nation states, corporations, internet, psychological sciences, mass surveillance, advertising and so on, the process is rapidly progressing and organisations of all forms are striving to consolidate their power over us. To us that seems like manipulative conformity imposed by group-think - to the emerging entities it is self-control over their own bodies). Becoming aware of this process of systemic evolution and the resulting power struggle (between sub-systems and the emerging super-system) helps us to understand why the world seems so messed up from our perspective and why corporations and nations seem so crazy and inhumane. They are not just groups of humans, they are new emergent super-organisms engaging in a global systemic ecosystem in which we are the cells. If we manage the transition with awareness and sensitivity we can work towards a situation in which we are nurtured and enabled within a healthy, intuitive, inwardly aware super-organism (like how a yogi relates to their body) - that would be a golden age for us. If not we will be totally enslaved and abused within an unhealthy, hard-headed, outwardly focused super-organism (like how most people relate to their body) - that would be a totalitarian nightmare for us.
