Ive been studying Revelations for eons, and Im not done yet. I havent completely figured it out. Im still working on it. Its been the most marked-up book in my Bible as far back as I can remember. Because it contains so much more symbolism than any other book, its the most misinterpreted. Respected scholars broadly disagree on its points and facts. Many more are reluctant to tackle it. When people ask me if I think the anti-christ is in the world right now, I respond by telling them maybe he is and maybe he isnt; but dont concern yourself with looking for him -- look for JESUS CHRIST instead. Revelations starts out by preparing the saved for eternity. The churches of Asia Minor, to whom John ministered, are all long gone. The cities are now major archaeological excavation sites, and evidence is being recovered which serves to prove the existence of the churches and the lifestyles indicated in chapters 2 and 3 of the book. The advice John gives to his 7 churches now becomes words of both admonishment and encouragement, given by Christ, for the church today.
