Ive been under conviction to say something and I hope it is received with love. This is a call out to all my brothers and sisters in Christ. I have seen so many posts lately about the political landscape of this country and in many of the posts, I see words tearing down others who do not think or feel the same way. I see people upset about the results on Tuesday and others rejoicing. In the Bible I read, Jesus prayer for His people is that we be unified in Him as He is in the Father. When you put your faith in governmental leadership to right whatever perceived wrongs have been done, you focus on things of this world and take the accountability off of yourself to be the light God has called you to be. When words are used to tear down, your light flickers and it makes it more difficult for those who may seeking to find it. As a Christian, I am called to be like Christ. The Jesus I know is gracious, merciful, loving, holy, inviting, and when confronted with all of His attributes, convicting. Conviction not from a place of judgment, but from a place of ultimate humility. Jesus earthly enemies were the high and mighty of His day that knew the law and had the head knowledge of the scripture but didnt apply it to their lives. Im praying that you shine your lights brighter than ever to show the true character of who He is. If we cant share the true love of Christ, which is unfiltered and available to all, then we need to recalibrate and question what we place priority on. If these words offer any conviction at all, then this word may be for you. I pray it has been received with nothing but love. God Bless and I hope you all have a blessed day.
