Ive been very tired and feeling a little overwhelmed this week so thankful the Lord brought a release today through laughter and the beauty of nature. The laughter came from a conversation I had with one of my students at recess. (Background: Most of my students live near the school and play in the playground we use at recess time.) Little H: Miss Risler I have known that squirrel for a very long time but he STILL does not pay attention to me! I dont know what I have done to him! When I first met him he looked cold so I named him Freezie. Do you know why he doesnt talk to me? Me: (Trying to hold back the laughter even at this point.) Well, sweetie he doesnt speak English. Little H: (pondering for a few seconds...then:) Do you know how to speak squirrel language? Me: No. Little H. (very seriously): Well I am going to go over and try. I just hope I dont say anything bad in squirrel language. I am so glad she walked away cuz I just couldnt contain the laughter anymore and I laughed for quite awhile! Love kids! Then the 2nd release came from the beauty of nature, cuz if I had a choice and could afford it, I would live in the woods near mountains and lakes and... anyway, I hate driving in rush hour traffic and well, today as I was driving home I saw these pretty yellow flowers on one of the medians... rows and rows of them went on for a very long time. Dont worry, traffic was stopped when I took the pic...or I stopped traffic... ;)
