Ive been working on how I wake up. Ideally Im up before everyone, doing yoga or hiking and Im all blissed out before I even say words. But often Im up just in time to rush around and try to be really mindful of my attitude. A necessary tweak to either routine its that I tend to wake up stressed. Counting time. Can I lay here for five more minutes? Shit. What day is it? But its so unnecessary. I need to know what day it is but my immediate feeling everyday neednt be stress. So Ive been getting into the practice of waking up and listing my gratefuls. My family, this garage I sleep in, another day, so much to be thankful for. Its slowly becoming the habit to replace immediate stress. The difference is notably awesome.
