Ive cooled down a bit on my rant about Rex, but he is just so unfair and imperious he irks me with his every move almost. Hes afraid Johnathon Ervin will get elected to the Lancaster City Council and be an independent vote.......and Rex likes total control of all four co-council members. His council cant exist without a 5-0 vote. Now we all know how Rex got elected. And if you dont know, heres the 4-1-1 on that. He wooed Gods Place Baptist Church and their large membership, which gave us the Runners who have consistently supported Rex. Then Rex appointed the Rev. Bishop Henry Hearns as Mayor Emeritus which brought in the Black vote and the Living Springs Church. Andy Visokey and Ron Smith are from the Central Christian Church on 20th West and Lancaster Blvd. so those voters were pretty well in his pocket thanks to an exchange of support. And finally, the coup de grace. He joins the Lancaster Baptist Church in the 40th E. and Lancaster Blvd. neighborhood and schmoozes the church secretary into running for council with him, thus luring Sherry Marques into politics. Presto, zappo: Rex got elected. Oh. And lets not forget Jim Gilley and Frank Viscos backing. And lets not forget either that absentee ballots were collected at his office. Hmmmmmmmm/ And my lawyer joke of the day: What do you call a lawyer gone bad? Mayor.
