Ive heard the whispers... I know whats being said - that Id never have cracked the old pop charts in such comprehensive fashion without my excellent backing singers Dolly Mixture and all that. Well, there is probably some truth in there as they were pop geniuses for sure. Which will be evident if youve heard Everything And More - a fabulous anthology of the girls own music which came out a couple of years ago. But apart from that.. and Debsys excellent band Birdie weve not heard an awful lot from them bearing in mind their considerable talents. So I was very pleased to hear that Rachel is doing a Kickstarter thing to get an album project together with her bloke Steve Lovell. And hes no stranger to the recording studio either having produced Julian Copes marvellous World Shut Your Mouth album amongst other things. So methinks the record promises to be a cracker!
