Ive not seen the butler, or 12 years a slave. I dont have to, I have an idea. These films, though powerful, only serve to preach to the converted, or numb the minds of the shocked. Im black ( for those of you who havent noticed) and we live slavery every day. It has been bred into us through generations. I grew up in a white society, and know almost every aspect of the way you live. How much do you really know of mine?? There is the difference. I have watched white tv, read white books and even learnt white music. Having ONE black or Asian friend does not make you Afrocentric. We live your society. You get reports on the news of ours.... And it still looks like we are savages. Anger is not the way forward. Action is. We are different in so many ways but as humans, we are all the same. White friends, its not your fault! It was many generations ago. Being part of a culture that perpetuates white supremacy has to change. Make a change!!!
