Ive seen/listened to/performed/watched dozens of renditions of this song. I actually wore out an original vinyl copy in the 70s from over playing. It remains (in my opinion) the single best piece of rock opera ever written - no apologies to the Who or Pink Floyd or ELP. This rendition (the original) is the second best Ive ever heard. The first? John Pointer did a bilingual version at Zach Scott Theatre so good I saw it three times. The only Zach Scott production (other than my daughters - I am a dad after all) that actually made me cry. cc: John Pointer Dave Steakley
