Ive waited and waited but no one came through for me. Theres a lot of ways I can go at this, but I see it as a teachable moment, or a self-check moment. Maybe other friends has pointed this out to you already, if not I will do so because I loves you. ;-) So at this very moment I will let you see things from a esp. black/minority persons point of view. Heres the two situations:: (1)Well, Im the best corner in the game! When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, thats the result you gonna get! Dont you ever talk about me! Crabtree! Dont you open your mouth about the best, or Im gonna shut it for you real quick! LOB! (Thats a reference to the Seattle defenses nickname, legion of boom.) The response to a reporter seconds after a really close football game. =====> (2) Let me be clear to you, you ever do that to me again Ill throw you off this f-----g balcony. No, no, youre not man enough, youre not man enough. Ill break you in half. Like a boy. The response to a reporter, (while standing on the balcony). ====> So if someone put both of these comments in front of you and ask you which one of these comments sounds like it came from a straight-up hardcore THUG? Which one would you pick (1) or (2)? The {TICK TOCK TICK TOCK IM STILL WAITING!} post from earlier, meant I was waiting to hear so many call this U.S. Rep. Grimm a thug for comments (2); but I havent heard/read it yet. Only heard (from the media he lost his cool. Didnt see a single post about him being a thug, idiot, jerk, no class, bad role model, etc. etc. etc. WHY??? Do we hold football players to a higher standard than a US Representative? I saw several political comments, but NOT ONE about this guys behavior. Yet Shermans words/behavior upset & disgusted us so bad that some of us immediately attack his character. He may be a thug as far as I know, but I couldnt determine that from the short interview. For those of you that did post or even thought that about Richard Sherman, why did you feel compelled to do so, but didnt feel the same about Rep. Grimm? Is because he looks more like you? Appears to have more in common with you? Why??? Can you start to see why so many (especially blacks) say that those things were said about him because hes black? Im all ears help me understand, and its too late to talk about him now. You werent compel to do so earlier!! Eyes Close!
