Mission accomplished. We successfully competed in the trail of GNU rally! The roads were insane, a huge step up from the snowball rally. The bad news; we crashed into a snow bank, after taking a corner a bit to quick. Managed to keep the rubber side down (barely), but lost approximately 20 mins. The good news: we made up our lost time and then some. We went from dead last to 6th place, out of 13 in our class (17th out of 28 overall)! This weekend, although we are not celebrating a win, was awesome. We discovered that Petra can fly (yup, caught air a few times), that we are a pretty good team that would have been very competitive had we not crashed and that the rally community is full of great people who will try to pull you out of a ridiculously massive crash into a snow bank, of give you a bed, when all the hotels were booked. Just over a month until the next race. Stay tuned for necessary upgrades to the car and our progress along the way.
