Ive watched this at least 8 times...not because Im a slow learner or a Spacey junkie - but because the deeper I delve into the business side of film making, the more profound the message in this address becomes to me. This really is about delivering to the audience what they want - how they want it...and when they want it. Frankly, thats just good business sense, regardless of the industry youre in and the audience you serve. The size of the screen is far less important than the size of the ROI and the quality of the delivered product. We live in an on demand society with every aspect of our lives - from food to entertainment. And if the customer wants to cradle your story in 45 minute increments when THEY want to watch it and on whatever screen theyd like, how bad is that? Enough said - the coffees on and Im headed back to Netflix for another House of Cards episode, or two, or three - or six, tonight. (Ok, maybe I AM a Spacey junkie. Is that bad?) youtube/watch?v=P0ukYf_xvgc
