I’m 59 today. That’s OLD! Viewing the whole of my life, have I - TopicsExpress

I’m 59 today. That’s OLD! Viewing the whole of my life, have I succeeded or failed? In my opinion (which is the only one that matters), let me break it down: Jobs/Businesses: Success. I’ve had 105 jobs, businesses. I’ve learned a lot. I’ve experienced a lot. I’ve grown a lot. I’ve been able to live by the seat of my pants and do pretty much what I pleased (other than ongoing financial limitations). Recreation: Failed. Unbalanced between work and play. Rarely do I play. And play usually costs money. Work brought in money, so the best I could do was find jobs I enjoyed (simulating play). Spiritual: Success. Open minded and aware, I have learned to develop my psychic side. I have learned the true ways of life and how to live free. Always being interested in accomplishing happiness, quite often I actually am! Sometimes I sabotage that, however. Money: Failed for most of my life. My focus was to figure out how to be happy, not sacrifice my happiness for money. The financial part of me suffered miserably. Three years ago I took a “real” job and finances are a bit better. Health: Success. Rarely any illnesses or dysfunctions. Home/Harmony Farm: Success, finally. Looked for “my farm” for 25+ years. Bought 24 acres here 8 years ago and can’t be happier. I am building it as I want, have healthy, happy animals, surrounded by nature, which equals personal freedom. Family relations: Failed for most of my life. Recently made peace with most of my family members to at least be able to get along. Children: Success. After beating myself up for years because I didn’t desire to have children, finally I accepted it and never regretted the decision to not be a mother. Romantic Love: Failed in all aspects. Accomplishments: Success. Wrote and published 5 books. Friends: Success it must be…Look at all the people who wish me Happy Birthday on Facebook! All in all, I certainly have had both successes and failures, but definitely rich with experiences to last several lifetimes. Cheers! xx
