I’m back to being “the guy”! You see, before my debate with Bill Nye “the Science Guy” earlier this year, Nye was interviewed by various media and he often referred to me as “that guy” or that “guy at the Creation Museum”– not even mentioning my name. During the debate he actually used my name—but he used it to claim that certain creationist ideas were “Ken Ham’s creation model,” “Ken Ham’s facility [the museum],” or “Ken Ham’s ‘this’ or ‘that’ …”. Well, in a recent interview Nye had on CNN TV, I am now back to being “the guy” in Kentucky. I just have to smile. For my part, I’m not ashamed at all to say I debated Bill Nye and mention his name—but once again he avoids saying my name and instead says that he debated “the guy.” I think that says a lot about him!
