I’ve been reading Archie comics as far back as I can remember – it may be been one of the first things I read on my own as a child. It was also my introduction to pop culture and how many people come from different paths of life. Because of this, I’m excited to hear they’re introducing a new character named Harper. Harper is a sassy fashion designer who is also in a wheelchair. Her creator, Dan Parent, has already said “With Harper, we acknowledged her disability, but we also acknowledged how it doesnt define her, and it’s not all she’s about. And she uses her disability to empower other people.” We can get behind that. Harper’s introductory issue goes out on sale today!-- Mac
