I’ve seen many friends post pics of the Hubble Deep Field images - TopicsExpress

I’ve seen many friends post pics of the Hubble Deep Field images recently. Yes, the universe is big. But the galaxies displayed in that image are specks of dust compared to the gigantic superclusters that exist across the observable universe. Our galaxy is a tiny grain of sand within a huge structure that resembles a milkweed seed blowing through the air called Laniakea. In this galaxy, theres a mathematical probability of three million Earth-type planets. And in all of the universe, three million million galaxies like this. And in all of that... and perhaps more, only one of each of us. -- Dr. Leonard McCoy
