J. Arthura Ridin Waves commentary TIMEOUT Really the first time I used sub bass kicks through out a whole beat. The sample was an old Johnny guitar Watson joint and I chopped the hell out of it. This was one of the newer joints we wrote compared to some of the stuff we wrote 2 years back after releasing Renovations that made the album (Sooner or Later, Chariot Awaits) . We needed a new sound, something to change up the style, something to change the direction. You can tell that this joint in particular was inspired by a lot of new hip hop/rap. We were very influenced by todays generations stuff in making this record in general. As an artist IMO you have to change the script always In order to grow and develop. Every album weve done is different and stands on its own so expect that in the next one projects.
