JAILED: MICHAEL FURNISS FOR MURDER OF ANDREW DOSIUK A man who shot dead an Arnold father has been jailed for life. After finishing work, in the early hours of the morning of Monday 11 November 2013, Michael Furniss, (pictured in the yellow top), 50, of no fixed address travelled over to Andrew Dosiuk’s home in Laneham Avenue, Arnold. It is there that Furniss entered Mr Dosiuks house finding him in bed, and shot him three times in the chest and abdomen. A jury convicted Furniss by a majority verdict yesterday, and he has been sentenced this afternoon (11 December) to life, to serve a minimum of 32 years and 11 months. Two other men, James Stacey, 30, of Forest Road, Mansfield, and Stuart Hall, 22, of Seely Avenue, Calverton, who had both been charged with murder were acquitted. DCI Rob Griffin, who led the murder inquiry, said: “Furniss killed Andrew Dosiuk in his bed before taking the gun to his workplace, where we later discovered it along with ammunition hidden in a filing cabinet. “Andrew Dosiuk may well have been involved in drug dealing, and indeed was pending a trial shortly before he was murdered, but he was a young boy’s father, and a much loved son and partner and has left behind a family who will miss him forever. “Our thoughts are with them today.”
