JANUARY 23, 2015 21 But select from all the people some capable, honest men who fear God and hate bribes. Appoint them as leaders over groups of one thousand, one hundred, fifty, and ten. (Exodus, Chapter 18:21). I used to love it when campaign time would roll around and the campaign telemarketers would call. We would let Jacob answer the phone. He loved “pranking” on the political telemarketers. My disdain for national politics runs even deeper. I believe that we have minimal selection in our national leadership based on the verse above. It is a sad thing. This is a great country that was founded on the principals of the one true God intended to allow those of any religion to live free from duress in this country. I would love to see us return to a constitutional democratic republic as our fore father intended. If you missed the State of the Union address I can summarize for you: Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah . . . I’ve run my last campaign . . . blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. To be fair and balanced, the Republican response: blah, blah, blah, blah, blah . . . we have no idea what we are doing either . . . blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Sorry to intertwine Bible and the current state of the world. The Bible does speak quite frankly about what is happening. It has all happened before and will all happen again. IN LOVING MEMORY OF MY SON, JACOB TYLER SPRINKLE. There is only one King and only one Judge. God Loves Everybody. Don’t worry about what anyone else thinks and do the right thing. Pray also for a lady named Peg Burch. She is a fellow classmate in seminary. She lost her husband on January 25, 2014, after many many years of marriage. Her husband, is also a brother Marine. I’ve not ever met her in person, but she is a Registered Nurse and a fellow Christian. Prayers please. Please say prayers for young Paisley Townsend. She was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. I do not know her, but she is a friend of one of Jacob’s nurses at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, Jessica Jolly, Jessica has requested prayer for her from all prayer warriors. Her parents are members of the Body of Christ and need our prayers. Please continue to pray for a little fellow named Holden. He has completed his Proton Treatments for a Brain Tumor, prayers are now for the treatments to have been successful. He is 8 years old. Pray for strength for his mother Shanna and his father Luke and pray for successful treatments. Please continue to pray especially hard for my old family friend Ruth Davidson. Her surgery went well and she is recovering. Praying for continuing improvement. Pray for all of the parents of Angels. It is a tough thing to be the parent of an Angel. Pray for all the other transplant kids we know, Blake, Luke, Ty, and Max. They continue to need God’s protection. Pray for Ted Larson. He is the brother in law of Faye Elliot and is critically ill. Pray for my Aunt Peggy Durham, she is fighting cancer again. Pray for Ty Mullins. He is 16 years old and beginning a battle with cancer. Pray for him and his family as they endure a lengthy hospitalization and treatment cycle. Please say prayers for Cindy Garrett. Pray for Ronnie Simpson (Battling all around illness). Scott Longshore (still in need of many prayers). Continue prayers for Betty Hines Crusenberry. Others in need of prayer Sundae Grace, Carleen Spivey (Breast Cancer), Frank Simme (The son of one of my Old Marine Corps Brothers – is having trials of his own that warrant substantial prayer), Bill Haight ( pray for continuing health and good reports), Joe Price (On Dialysis), Shirley Brown (Back pain), Reagan Reece (Needs heart/lung transplant), Bob Hines, Louise Russell’s son, Linda Maness, Tamara Williams (Battling Cancer) and all of their families.
