#JESUS, #I #NEED #YOU. Abba, Our Loving Father, Great is Your Faithfulness, You are Greatly to be Praise, for Your Mercy is from Everlasting to Everlasting, May the Anointing of the Holy Spirit be upon your people, which You have redeemed through the Blood of the Everlasting Covenant in Christ Jesus, our Lord and Saviour, bestow on us to have a pure heart, good conscience and sincere faith; pouring out our hearts and souls to You, Father through Christ Jesus, in the Power of the Holy Spirit, for such things as God promises according to the Word of God, for the Good of the Body of Christ with submission in faith that works by love in the Will of God, in and through Christ Jesus Merciful and Sovereign Name, amen and amen. These days we are all so full of ourselves, without even realizing it, but what we desperately need is to be filled with Christ. It is often even difficult to discern how different our ways are from His ways because, no matter what kind of home we have been raised in, Christian or non-Christian, because of our indwelling sin and because we have grown up in a church that is within the culture, we have acquired habits, behaviors, thought patterns, and reasoning from many sources other than Jesus Christ, without even knowing it. This was Paul’s aim: For me to live is Christ (Philippians 1:21). Paul did not always live to Christ. He only began to do so when Jesus confronted Him on the road to Damascus and convinced him of his sin, and when by grace he was brought to see Jesus for who He was (Acts 9:1-19). Make Jesus your prayer and cry out to Him. Ask Jesus to give you the ability to seek Him first as He commanded in Matthew 6:25-33. Jesus, I need you. I can’t do life without you. Jesus, you are not just an idea, a list of dos and don’ts, a doctrine, or a cause. I need you and I want you! I want to know you so well that I know you better than I know anyone—my family, my friends, my closest friend—even myself. I want you to be with me right here, right now. I long to be able to sit next to you, to spend time in your presence, and to ask you questions that flood my mind and my heart. I want to be able to run to you, lay my head on your shoulder, pour out my heart to you, and have you put your arms around me and speak truth to me—even the hard truth. I need your help, your grace, your mercy. I can’t do life alone. Close today by praying through Matthew 6:25-33. Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:25-33 KJV) READ FULL CHAPTER. For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. (Philippians 1:21 NKJV) Then Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.” So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.” And the men who journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice but seeing no one. Then Saul arose from the ground, and when his eyes were opened he saw no one. But they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus. And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank. Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and to him the Lord said in a vision, “Ananias.” And he said, “Here I am, Lord.” So the Lord said to him, “Arise and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for one called Saul of Tarsus, for behold, he is praying. And in a vision he has seen a man named Ananias coming in and putting his hand on him, so that he might receive his sight.” Then Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much harm he has done to Your saints in Jerusalem. And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on Your name.” But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel. For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My name’s sake.” And Ananias went his way and entered the house; and laying his hands on him he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” Immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he received his sight at once; and he arose and was baptized. So when he had received food, he was strengthened. Then Saul spent some days with the disciples at Damascus. (Acts 9:1-19 NKJV) BENEDICTION. Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it. (I Thessalonians 5:23, 24 NKJV) Peace to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen. (Ephesians 6:23, 24 NKJV)
