JKC Mangarhs Homoeopathy Pharmacy Staff. “Every Week is Pharmacy Week” says Homoeopathy Pharmacy staff, Deepshika Bhardwaj. Being part of a hospital that serves approximately 800-1000 patients daily, the Homoeopathy Pharmacy Department of Jagadguru Kripalu Chikitsalaya (JKC) – Mangarh, is always very busy. Besides regular duties and responsibilities, plus managing the pharmacy and all that it entails – ordering, stocking shelves, disposal of expired medicine etc., the staff at the Homoeopathy Pharmacy spends a lot of their time instructing patients on proper use of their prescribed medications. This is because a majority of patients that come to JKC are illiterate. Pharmacy staff is required to teach them each and every step, sometimes using illustrations to demonstrate and educate the patients on the side effects and what to expect after taking their medication At the Pharmacy, medicines are dispensed to treat a range of ailments, including piles, elephantiasis, tuberculosis, polio, paralysis, leprosy, arthritis, tonsillitis, epilepsy, tumors, kidney stones, otorrhea, heart problems, mental diseases, skin diseases, the common cold and fever, etc.
