JOB ALERT: We are looking for a Software Engineer for an opportunity in Herndon, VA. We are looking for a candidate with a strong software background and preferably a good understanding of the physical layer technology to lead the development in our clients complex testing framework that they are currently building out to automate the operation/test of the entire satellite network. Required experience: strong software design skills with analytical problem solving abilities, experience in high level programming and scripting languages such as: Python (preferred), C/C++, Java, C#, etc.; TCP/IP, and Sockets Programming, experience working in Linux or Unix operating systems, development of testing and analysis methodologies to achieve in-depth understanding of system operation and performance; experience using lab instruments such as Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Waveform Generators, and Oscilloscopes, as well as knowledge of wireless communications concepts, embedded systems architecture concepts, RF hardware concepts, experience leading design and integration tasks involving complex networking and embedded systems applications, knowledge of wireless networking hardware, software, and firmware, knowledge of wireless communications concepts such as modulation, demodulation, Forward Error Correction, and channel impairments.
