JOB OPENING RELEASE TITLE: Education Coordinator (Wagner Unit) JOB TYPE: Part-Time HOURS: 32 hrs per week / 10 months, August 1st-May 31st (Days/Hours TBD) SALARY: Salaried Position/Negotiable (DOE) LOCATION: Wagner, SD PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for overseeing the delivery of a broad range of programs including; Education, Special Education, & Environmental Education programming. Provide after-school tutoring to assist students with homework help (POWER HOUR) and help improve students reading, math and science skills through the use of high-yield learning activities (HYLA) from Project Learn. Determining community needs, program development, partnership development, writing monthly reports, marketing, & public relations. Responsible for the planning, implementation and ongoing evaluation of quality and developmentally appropriate programs, activities, services, and special events for youth ages 6-18. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of principles related to youth development; partnership development; and group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics. Education: Four year college degree from an accredited college in related area/areas of youth development (or similar) preferred. Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in the operation of a Boys & Girls Club (or similar org.) preferred. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: • Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications within six months. • Valid (state) driver’s license. • Travel for training, conferences, & Professional Development advancement. • Pass mandatory background check.
