JUNIOR GAME REVIEW - Under 10 Blue Hi all, hope you all had a Happy Easter. After having last week off due to Easter the boys were all keen to get back into playing footy again. Round 3 saw the Bears at home against Aberfeldie (2). After winning the toss and kicking with the aid of a 3-4 goal breeze the team started well getting on the score board early. The highlight of the quarter was Tasman kicking the first goal of the game. Not only of the game but his first ever goal in his football career. Well Done Taz!! 1/4 time Burnside 1.2.8 Aberfeldie 0.0.0 After only kicking 1 goal with the wind the coaching staff were going to be satisfied with holding the opposition to 2 goals for the 2nd quarter. We didnt expect what was to come. From the first bounce of the quarter the boys just flicked the switch an went BANG! 5 goals 2 behinds to no score for the term against the wind was fantastic. All worked together as a team. Best quarter played for the season by far. The highlight for the quarter was Aiden kicking his first ever goal in his football career. Well done Aidos!! 1/2 time Burnside 6.4.40 Aberfeldie 0.0.0 Third quarter was just like the first. Plenty of breeze to work with but didnt make the most of it. We wasted a lot of opportunities for the quarter kicking 2 goal 5 behinds. 3/4 time Burnside 8.9.57 Aberfeldie 0.0.0 With only having one interchange player for the game and fatigue starting to set in, I was really pleased by how the way the team stuck to their structures and team plans. Its good to see that all the simulated work at training are starting to pay off. Keep up the good work boys. Well done. Great team effort.
