JUST A THOT: Yesterdays sunday nation paper (1 star) dedicated a few pages to the National Police Service whose agenda was one, Suicide among officers. It talked abt stress-sources, management etc. I hav a few words to all. 1. The police job is one of the special occupations-nature of work, organizational hierarchy etc 2. Policework is a calling not a career just like any other 3. Life is a process not an event-you must start from somewhere, then move through a journey to somewhere 4. Life is in stages, what you lack today, you will hav it tomorrow 5. Plan well and set your priorities right 6. Though there is power in numbers, at times moving with the crowd is not the better option, be yourself, have principles and be responsible. 7. Passion is the key behind getting good results in any undertaking. Love your job despite the challenges. If you dont love your job plis quit instead of living hell on earth 8. When life gives you lemon, make lemonade-Turn your challenges into opportunities 9. Life is never a straight line, never a bed of roses-there are ups and downs and hence problems are part of life. You are hence not alone in this. 10. Dont stick to retrogressive cultural dictations e.g. men should never cry. Do it when necessary coz psychologists say its therapeutic. 11. Share your problems with trusted friends. It helps to ease the pressure in you. 12. Make friends with people who are above you-Social economic status, age, experience, thinking, level of management etc. You get learning opportunities 13. We all come from diverse backgrounds-know yourself, love yourself and strive to improve your situation 14. When you fail, there is always room to improve and succeed. Even the most successful people failed many times before finally succeeding to the level of admiration. Rise up and try again 15.Every experience is a learning experience e.t.c GOOD Monday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
