Jacks first band concert was tonight and I am still blown away - people in Sherman ISD are just nuts for band! It makes a winter concert just a little more special when a high school auditorium is standing room only and 5th & 6th grade band has 144 kids playing. Jack did great. He played the snare drum for one song, the marimba for another one, and my personal fave was the song he played the crash cymbals. Apparently, when you play them, you have to make a face that matches the noise you produce. I have 4 different videos of different parts of the song and every time they crash, so does his face. Proud (and thoroughly amused) momma. Great job tonight kids!!!
