Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh rejected the verdict of its former - TopicsExpress

Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh rejected the verdict of its former Chief Ghulam Azam terming the verdict as a ‘staged drama’. ‘Tribunal completely failed to prove a single charge brought against Ghulam Azam. Therefore, 90 years imprisonment only proves that the verdict is politically motivated’, the Jamaat leader said. Masud said that the verdicts are given to achieve only one goal; to wipe out Jamaat. The Jamaat spokesman said, ‘after the skype scandal by Justice Nizamul Haque Nasim, this tribunal has completely lost its legitimacy. People earlier boycotted the verdict against Delwar Hossain Sayedee by this tribunal. They will do the same in today’s verdict’.
