Jamaican Independence Day!! 52 years down the road what does it really mean to the majority of Jamaicans living in Jamaica? Not a lot! Still get up and struggle to make ends meet..... Over 1 million Jamaicans live below the poverty line!! Thats 35% Minimum wage may have been put in place but God knows with the Dollar at an ALL time LOW $189.6 : £1 that cant really help anyone! Anyone who has EVER worked to earn a SINGLE Jamaican Dollar knows its worth!!! Any child who has EVER been to school in JAMAICA knows the struggle of many to ensure that school fees and lunch money are available much less taxi fare!!! If you are living here in the UK take a few minutes today to think about your people living in Paradise........ Always remember where u come from! The slope back down is far more rapid than the long road up!
