January 15, 2015 Dear GSUMC Family, It is with a heavy heart that I write to inform you that Bishop Deborah L. Kiesey is appointing the Reverend Eric Kieb to the Bay City Grace United Methodist Church, effectively July 1, 2015. The Reverend Kieb has served our congregation since July of 2010. Reverend Kieb has been an active and supportive member of GSUMC and the surrounding communities. His love for the gospel of Christ is obvious in all he does. Under his guidance, our church has been working toward spreading the teachings of Jesus to all as it applies to our modern world. We have grown both spiritually, financially, and in numbers under his guidance. Our ministries have grown to include populations previously unreached. He will be greatly missed. Our Staff Parish Relations Committee (SPRC) is working with our district superintendent, the Reverend Dr. Jeffrey R. Maxwell, Bishop Deborah L. Kiesey, and the cabinet on the appointment of a new pastor to our church. We will inform you as soon as we learn who this will be.
