January 27th 2015....yesterday afternoon was kind of nuts. I spent 12 noon to 3pm sorting through mounds of documents and bills. After accomplishing this scenario I laid down for a nap. Woke up at 9pm to the nurse asking me if I wanted evening pain meds. I fell asleep and woke up at about 6am today. I was down for the count amidst nearly conking out for 15 hours approximately. It is the New Normal . apparently. When energy is depleted the body needs a recharge to keep going. Postscript on the heart monitor scenario; I was in Timpanogos 24 hours. The stack of bills just from this procedure was $56,000.00 for surgery, medical parts, hospital stay issues, meds, blood tests, and whatever else was done.Example; two tabs of Hydrocodone was billed at only $15. Then people wonder how out of control US Health Care has become. My five day junket to remove the softball sized cyst? $177,000.00 for lab work, radiology sessions, blood issues, actual surgery issues, room charges, med charges, etc etc.... In India the surgeon is on direct call 24/7. The room is a Marriott like set up. In England specialists designed a titanium hip replacement part with a 25 year guarantee with ideas suggested from BMW engineers. Sadly the FDA has not approved it for procedures in America.
