Jean Sibelius... Pay no attention to what the critics say; there has never been a statue erected to a critic. All great and wonderful advances have been severely criticized. Nothing new or better ever received a hearty-slap-on-the-back or go-for-it from the firmly ensconced people of the this-is-the way-weve-always-done-it crowd. When discovering, inventing or developing anything there will be more experts to discourage you than there will be to encourage you. That means you have to listen to your heart, research until your eyes are bloodshot, hypothecate, experiment and be willing to fail repeatedly... Then do it all over again tomorrow. I would run out of space long before I could catalogue all the remarkable successes that were on first sight dismissed. So go for it! Adjust as needed. Never give up.
