Jeremaia Namuaira was born at Viseisei Vuda,Ba on September 26th 1956.After completing his primary and high school education at Vuda District and Natabua High School respectively,he went to the University of the South Pacific in 1973 where he did his undergraduate work.He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Administration in 1977.He embarked on a career in Public Service that began with a two year stint in the NLTB from 1977 to 1979 before becoming a full-fledged civil servant working in different departments for a 32 year-span.Midway in his career ,Jerry did graduate work in Public Administration and also did overseas courses as they would provide him the tools necessary to meet new demands and challenges in his line of work.He received a Graduate Diploma in Public Administration in 2006.He ended his Government service career at the Ministry of Justice as Deputy Permanent Secretary for Justice in September 2011.He and wife Melaia from Levukana.Vanuabalavu,Lau are deeply involved in the activities of the Vanua and the Methodist Church.They have three children and all live at Viseisei.
