An event where they took to the streets in a strong showing of their support for Israel. Participants came to Jerusalem from all over the world, from China to Brazil. What was most remarkable was the palpable unity felt among the hearts of people, on both sides of the parade fence. All were united in their love for Israel. It is clear that there are some great lovers of Israel in the Christian world, but there is a pure passion witnessed here, as believers traveled to Jerusalem specifically to show support during this march. Without saying any words, you can see the participants are people who deeply love Israel and the Jewish people. Many nations joined in the march wearing historical costumes from their native land, making it clear to the local Israelis and other participants what nation they were representing. Many of the groups were practicing songs including dances and cheers they planned to perform for the duration of the march. Cheers and songs they prepared for this special moment as they walk the streets of Jerusalem. Performance for entertainment’s sake, however, was not the focus. It is for something far more special than that; it was to boldly show their love and support for Israel. A show of support that bridges language and cultural barriers. There was a gracious thankfulness radiating from the Israelis in attendance. Clearly, they were receiving this love and expression of support. At one point during the Jerusalem March, the master of ceremonies stopped what he was doing to express thanks to the Christians for supporting Israel, especially in light of the recent war with Gaza. It was clear, they were overwhelmingly happy to see the international Christian community reach out to them in this expression of love. Urban secular youths with dreadlocks, climbed up onto the parade fences to hoot and holler with joy. Also, the religious Jews brought their families to witness this tangible sign of support, which resulted in many smiles.
