Jesus gave Christians some things to look out for. He called them birth pains, first of troubles or beginnings of sorrows depending upon which version you prefer. These birth pains are more evident today than at any time in history. I need not tell you about the wars, rumors of wars, pestilences, earthquakes and such. We all know about them. We also know what is happening in Israel, to Christians and Jews. Many teachers will tell you, No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. This is true, but why then did Jesus tell us what to look out for? Sure we will not know the exact day or the exact hour, but certainly we can be made aware of the nearness of the Great Day of Judgement. It is near. This needs to be an area of teaching everywhere.
