Jesus in Disguise One aspect of His behavior which I find most - TopicsExpress

Jesus in Disguise One aspect of His behavior which I find most endearing is that Jesus never respected personalities. He treated everybody with courtesy. His behavior made me understand that there are no high or low people on earth, just people with high or low statuses. The status does not make the man. God can change statuses in a matter of seconds and if that was our source of pride then where would we be? Nebuchadnezzar was the ruler of the known world during the days of Daniel, but in a twinkling of an eye God reduced him to a forest animal so he could know that the Most High is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives them to anyone he wishes and sets over them the lowliest of people-Daniel 4:17. So how does God want us to relate with people? 1 Peter 2:17 answers this-honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king. Notice that God wants us to honour ALL men as well as honour the king. He does not want us to honour only the king and despise men lower in status than us. The Gospels tell us that Jesus is in disguise on earth even today. But how is He disguised? “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’-Matthew 25:37-40.
