Jesus is looking for people who recognize they are full of sin and need to repent. Not those who think they are "good" They come to Christ and He will in no way cast them out. He came to make us righteous not to make us think we are righteous. We need you Lord Jesus, help us to recognize how sinful we are and how utterly dependant we have become. Every gift of the Holy Spirit belongs to you and we are just stewards of your ministry. We are called by your name, and we trust you oh Lord, make us more like you. 29 Later, Levi held a banquet in his home with Jesus as the guest of honor. Many of Levi’s fellow tax collectors and other guests also ate with them. 30 But the Pharisees and their teachers of religious law complained bitterly to Jesus’ disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with such scum?[e]” 31 Jesus answered them, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do. 32 I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners and need to repent.”
