Jewish writing is alive and well! Contemporary authors continue to delve into Jewish themes and stories, such as in 2013s The Golem and the Jinni, an imaginative historical novel set in the swirling worlds of 20th century Upper West Side and Little Syria, New York. Helene Weckers debut novel takes us through the unlikely immigrant experiences of two mythical creatures from different worlds and pulls the reader with them through space - shtetls and deserts - and time itself.
