Jim Creed posted this and I thought I should share, I wasnt able to attend the meeting due to health issues. I understand the meeting was not a pleasant environment to conduct Tribal business, with the majority of the council and chief having made their decisions and conclusions without hearing the facts. Retaliations, vendettas, and ultimate revenge were on the agenda, mostly perpetrated and carried out by one council member (at some point, calling the meeting to order without the Chief being present) making a mockery out of the Council meeting. My main concern in running DFMS, after many obstacles including $50,000.00 in inherited tax debt, a $165,000.00 inherited note at the bank, no invoices ever sent to customers, a staff of 5 office personnel doing nothing, inherited credit card debt, employees running amuck and 10 Tribal buildings and over 300 Tribally owned properties and grounds needing attention, was to save the Tribe money and renegotiate all Tribal contracts and business endeavors. I worked hard for 2 years and finally had a handle on Tribal affairs, and finally had a chance to get things started with the Kroger Co. nationwide, and then came Monday, Nov. 24th. Like a bullet to the head. Thank you Delaware Tribe, Ive been blessed to be a member of this Tribe since 1984 and all Ive felt is love and fellowship, for this Im greatful. Special Thank You to Chief Pechonick and Jenifer, Dee and Annette Ketchum, Kelia Kindred and the entire DFMS Team. Wanishi.
