Duties and Responsibilities As the key communications professional for the School of Medicine, this experienced communicator will be responsible for identifying, shaping, and managing the development of high-quality editorial content for the School’s internal and external communications needs. This will include School and departmental websites; news, marketing and public information materials; publications, periodicals, and other appropriate communication vehicles. This position is responsible for creating communications strategies, messages, developing copy and providing communications counsel to faculty and administrators in assigned areas for the purpose of enhancing the School’s reputation through marketing and media relations. Will work closely with the HSC Planning, Marketing and Communications team, and with Philanthropy and Alumni staff on a daily basis and on specific projects as assigned.
