Job Title: Accounting Systems Admin. Reports To: Director of Finance FSLA Status: Non-Exempt Date Updated: 09-22-14 Work Location: Corporate Office Companies Supported: All TDX companies; TDX Holding, TDX Corporate, TDX Power, TDX Gov’t Svc’s, BSG JOB SUMMARY Provides administration support for TDX’s accounting systems and other applications for all TDX company employees. They participate, and if applicable, take the lead on cross departmental upgrades and implementations across systems. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Train and support various users and process owners in operations, accounting, Human Resources and contracting, to facilitate their understanding of the prescribed processes and ensure compliance within system software programs. • Lead reviews of system inefficiency issues, advise gaps in processes or procedures, and interface with IT, Accounting and/or Finance to provide recommendations for corrections. • Prepare system process training materials, recommendations for corrections and document process flow charts as appropriate. • Respond to calls, email and personal requests to provide guidance with software application. • Help make users productive. • Offer guidance and help users solve common software problems. • Resolve problems, detect patterns of issues, and coordinate with staff regarding persistent problems. • Participate, and if applicable take the lead in cross departmental upgrades and implementations across systems. • Promote consistency in scope, meaning, normalizing and handling of data throughout the Company. • Supports, maintains, troubleshoots issues and administers the primary software systems. • Works closely with the Information Technology department to accomplish Company’s information management goals. • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies. • Develops and adheres to written accounting systems change management policies and procedures. • Vet and communicate all accounting system changes with key stakeholders – before, during and after implementation. • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. QUALIFICATIONS • Accounting or business degree required; 2:1 experience for education may be substituted. • 5 years of experience either supporting systems or working in accounting, finance, or financial analysis • Financial analysis, Crystal report writing experience preferred. • Have a solid understanding of accounting functions for interfacing users with software • Must have experience that demonstrates complete understanding of standard accounting systems and knowledge of accepted financial and accounting principles and practices. • Strong problem solving and analytical skills required. • Strong ability to communicate and present complex financial matters in simple, understandable terms. • Proficient knowledge of MS Office and accounting software (e.g. Crystal Reports, Viewpoint). . • Ability to work in a multi company environment with diverse lines of business. • Experience in training of accounting system functionality preferred.
