REQUIRED: 2 years of experience in a PC related field which includes experience in: - hardware configuration - computer networking, and - installation and/or repairs of PC hardware and peripherals. Summary Looking for an IT technician who can manage a computer cluster consisting of 150 workstations. Activities will include relocating the whole cluster from their existing location to a new building in the same campus, and fully maintaining the computer cluster by monitoring status of each machine periodically, doing repairs and improvements. Skills Sought Familiarity with Windows operating system, account management. Computer diagnostics and repair. Some heavy-lifting (40-50 lbs computers). ACTIVITIES Building Move (30 hrs x man) Interact with science team to organize move schedule and plan Disconnect cables from computers (count of 50) Move computers and cables from two separate buildings to a single building Setup computers on racks in another building Connect cables to computersInteract with local IT department to setup the computer accounts Prepare reports on all activities and status of computers Future Maintenance (once (5-6 hrs x man) a week)
