Poem by Jocelyn Grant Wife of 2 time Iraq war veteran James Painter Dealing with the convolution of the VA, One might have the feelings of dismay When asking for help one veteran did turn, To the offices of Mark Begich in desperation and concern With one consultation some phone calls a letter, The chaos and red tape seemed simple, much better 24 hours did not pass, With out final resolution to this 2 year task We thank you Mark Begich from the bottom of our heart, You and your staff have done more then your part My husband is unfortunately 100% disabled, Iraq has been cruel not like some have fabled We are thankful he survived the detriment of war, But because of you, and your diligence, life can be so much more!!!! Thank you
