Jody Kaplansky asks My twins were diagnosed about 7 years ago with Aspergers. It is severe. But not say much as full blown Autism. Yet tonight I had to call the police tonight for one of my boys. He was have a complete melt down because he had stopped taking his meds. He is 19 and 250 lbs 6 foot 2. I cannot physically stop him if he becomes agressive. Therefor I had to call the police. He should be hospitalized but I could not do that to him. He chose to stop taking his meds about a,week ago. Dont ask me why. Causing tonights melt down and police call. The age that he and his twin are is a lost point in Autism treatment . Most ask about their young children because they can diagnos so much earlier. But my sons are left in the wind. They are too old for most treatment. Help etc......
