John Robert Jones of Tulsa, age 84, passed away Friday, March 28, 2014. He was born on March 2, 1930 to Guy and Lola Jones. He attended Cherokee School in Turley where he met his wife for 62 years, Betty June, who passed away in 2008. John was a retiree, with 22 years of service, from American Airlines and his wife was a retiree from Tulsa Public Schools. He is survived by his daughter, Linda, and her husband, Bobby, who cared for him and loved him with all their hearts, and with whom he lived for the past few years. He is also survived by his son, John Robert of Tulsa and his grandchildren, Angelina and John Jones, Jr. (Lil John), his brother, Gary Jones of Catoosa, his sister, Jane Brinlee of Ramona, and his life-long devoted friend, Eddie Morris of Tulsa, also a retiree of American Airlines. He will rest in peace with his wife, Betty, his daughter, Alice Ann, his granddaughter, Melinda Ann, his sister, Charlene and his brothers, Thomas and Raymond.
