Were featuring models from the Leesa Robinson Agency, designs by SteamPunk Chuck Coleman, SFX Makeup artistry by Vince Collura (ActionVance), and catering by Guardados Restaurant. ActionVances Vince Collura will be conducting a SFX makeup workshop on Saturday, 10/19, and SteamPunk Chuck Coleman will present his workshop on SteamPunk Design and Photography on Sunday, 10/20. More details on the workshops to follow in future posts. Show & party details: Come out to The Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, VA to meet the artists, learn their tricks and treats, and enjoy the display of that artistic edge in costume design and SFX makeup that can really bring a story, its characters, and their world to life. Many of the costumes and accessories showcased by our lovely models will be available to purchase in our Exclusive Costume Boutique that evening. Some of our designers will also be taking your custom orders for costumes made just for you. Participants from Action Vances SFX Makeup and Monster-pieces workshop will be able to apply their new skills to some of our attendees and enter into our costume contest that will be held during the party portion of the evening. Dont forget, a portion of our net proceeds will be donated to the nonprofit film production company, BigDamnFilms, in support of their IndieGoGo crowdfunding campaign to produce their horror/comedy feature film, Z*CON. BigDamnFilms will be, in turn, donating their net proceeds from the movie to charities as well, including the Red Cross.
