The following verses speak of the sovereignty of God. What do you think it means for God to be sovereign? Psalm 115:3, But our God is in the heavens; He does whatever He pleases. Psalm 135:6, Whatever the Lord pleases, He does, in heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps. Isaiah 46:10, Declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things which have not been done, saying, My purpose will be established, and I will accomplish all my good pleasure. If these things are true about God, that He is carrying out this plan established before the foundations of the world that has already taken into account everything that would happen, the question arises, is prayer a waste of time, or unnecessary?
